This is truly a splendid campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Winn; Escudilla National Recreation Trail is a great local trail, and unsurprisingly Nutrioso Creek is a stunning stream that is worth checking out. This camp ground is one of the delightful spots to camp here in the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is a great location to go if you're at Winn, and hey, Gotta ski right? Sunrise Park is a good site to do that. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Black River   - East Fork, and Robertson Hollow is in the neighborhood, and is a pleasant place. So much cool stuff in the neighborhood of Winn; to be at this place is always fun. At Winn throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's with night lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Winn. Winn is a location that is reasonably dried up ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is August; May on the other hand is the driest.
