| | This is a splendid campground. A campground like this is too splendid to miss. Prescott National Forest is a delightful place, and there are good spots to look at along the Groom Creek Loop Trail.
There are so many enjoyable things to do near Thumb Butte, and it is a fun place for everybody. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Thumb Butte has it all. Take a little spree to Aspen Creek since you're here at Thumb Butte; Thumb Butte is a spot with many visitors from Prescott. As if Thumb Butte wasn't enough, you can also go whitewater |
paddling, fishing, swimming, and hiking, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen.
The workforce that manages this campground and the extremely ably managed facilities have loads of folks coming here.
Lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Lower Goldwater
| Lake next to Thumb Butte, and magnificent hiking is available along the Granite Mountain Trail Number Two Hundred Sixty One. The fine variety of local attractions and such an incredible array of things to do will make you pleased you came. Go for a hike on the Mount Francis Trail Forty Eight, and a magnificent place nearby is Schoolhouse Gulch.

All through the warm months at Thumb Butte temperatures
are regularly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 50's; night lows at Thumb Butte during the winter regularly fall into the 10's. Arizona has loads of outdoors activities.
Thumb Butte is a very popular
campground with the people of Prescott. Don't leave Thumb Butte without first going for a hike along the Sierra Prieta Crest Trail Nmber Two Hundred Sixty Four; from Thumb Butte you obtain a perfect panorama of Kuhne Hill.
