If the weather is lovely, you get a great vista of Buck Butte from Sunrise Resorts, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wet Beaver Creek. Basin Trail, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on East Verde River. A tour to Montezuma Castle National Monument is worthwhile. During the summer months highs here at Sunrise Resorts reach the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the
wintertime highs are regularly in the 50's; overnight lows at Sunrise Resorts through the wintertime generally descend into the 20's. All the outdoors fun stuff next to Sunrise Resorts will keep you coming back repeatedly. Take a hike on the Bell Trail, and of course, all our national parks are brilliant sites to take a look at and Tuzigoot National Monument is no exception.
