Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the cool stuff you can do is fishing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Mogollon Rim Mountains.
Whitewater paddling is fine on Tonto Creek; a trip to Tonto National Forest is a magnificent idea. Around Kokopellis's Retreat you don’t get a lot of rain; August is when you get the most rain here while June is mostly the driest month.
