Myrtle Trail; if you crave a little side tour, try Brushy Basin Canyon. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the cool stuff you can do is fishing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Mogollon Rim Mountains.
Whitewater paddling is fine on Tonto Creek; a trip to Tonto National Forest is a magnificent idea. Around Kokopellis's Retreat you don’t get a lot of rain; August is when you get the most rain here while June is mostly the driest month.
