Oak Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. Several people stay here when they come to explore Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. With such a vast number of things to do in Arizona you'll never get bored.
A journey to Slide Rock State Park revives the soul, and Walnut Canyon National Monument is a brilliant national park. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Go for a hike on the Kendrick Peak Trail, and Fort Valley Experimental Forest is a forest that you can go to.
