| | You've been indoors for too long, and Brookchar in Arizona is exactly the place. Brookchar is a location that is reasonably arid usually; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while May is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Coming to this campground is always a glorious idea. You can run the rapids of Black River - East Fork right next door to Brookchar; Nutrioso Creek is close to Brookchar and is always a diversion to pop by.

Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Brookchar. Everybody loves Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Lyman Lake State Park is a glorious place, and you can go for a hike on the Escudilla National
| Recreation Trail. At Brookchar entertaining stuff to do is abundant, and it is a magnificent escape from the mundane.
If you would like a little side trip, try Robertson Hollow; here at Brookchar you can make out Athletic Dome. In Arizona you never run out of outdoors fun stuff. For the duration of the summertime months at Brookchar temperatures are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Brookchar are in the 10's.

in the great outdoors just come on up to the Mogollon Rim Mountains. Sunrise Park has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Springerville. Scores of folks choose Brookchar so they can go to Lyman Lake State Park.
Some activities here at Brookchar are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
