Twin Lakes - Tongass National Forest, Alaska

| | Twin Lakes is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
This segment of Alaska is always a joy to have a look at all through camping season. There are other places here than Twin Lakes, for example Carlanna Lake; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to observe at Carlanna Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Twin Lakes. Alright, you've been cooped up for too much time, now's the time for going camping, and Twin Lakes in Alaska is a nice site |

Although there's not that much to do in close proximity to Twin Lakes it's always fun to be at this campground. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Twin Lakes, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the
| 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Twin Lakes drop into the 20's.
A great beach next to Twin Lakes is Black Sand Beach. Coming to this campground is always a glorious idea. Charcoal Point is near Twin Lakes and is a fine place to stop at, and why not take a little tour to Carlanna Creek while you're here. The welcoming reception and the splendid facilities are a good pull for lots of folks.
Lots of folks choose this campground when going to Black Sand Beach. If you're visiting Twin Lakes from Ketchikan, you won't be the only one; Ward Mountain is beautiful and can be observed from here. | |
