| | You've gotta get out, and Karta River is a good local campground if you happen to be in Alaska. The caring surroundings and the satisfactorily kept up facilities makes the journey here worthwhile.
Getting to Carlanna Creek from Karta River is uncomplicated, and on a wonderful day you get a great vista of Ward Mountain from Karta River. Several folks stay at this campground for the purpose of being close to Black Sand Beach. Alaska has loads of outdoors activities.

if you're popping by from Ketchikan, you won't be the only one. A lot of rain falls at Karta River; the month with most of the rain is October, and the driest month is July.

You are near Charcoal Point if you're here at Karta River; Carlanna Lake Dam is a wonderful site, certainly worth visiting. Karta River is a very popular campground with folks of Ketchikan.
