John Muir - Tongass National Forest, Alaska   John Muir is a very popular campground among folks in Ketchikan. There's not that much fun stuff to do nearby John Muir but spending time at this campground is enormously enjoyable. John Muir sees pretty high levels of rain; through the month of October you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is July. While dropping by this neighborhood in Alaska it's a great idea to go for a camping trip too. If you want to hit the beach, Black Sand Beach is close by. Through the warm days of summer at John Muir temperatures are usually     in the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at John Muir are in the 20's. A lot of folks pick John Muir in order to be near Black Sand Beach. The workforce of this great campground and the satisfactorily operated operations are a delightful pull for scores of folks. Charcoal Point is in close proximity and always fine to stop at, and not far from John Muir you'll come across Carlanna Lake which is a striking lake. Some of the water nearby flows, like Carlanna Creek, also Carlanna Lake Dam is worth stopping at since you're here. This is such a lovely campground. One of the governing marks of the surroundings of John Muir is Ward Mountain, and if you're visiting from Ketchikan, you won't be the only one.
