John Muir doesn’t have that much cool stuff nearby but camping is such a fun activity, and this is a good spot to do that. The scenery at Carlanna Lake Dam close to John Muir is striking; during your tour here you'll meet some people from Ketchikan for sure. If you're here at John Muir, you could check out Carlanna Creek. Summertime highs at John Muir frequently tend to be in the 60's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's while John Muir night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
