This is such a pleasant campground. Going for a hike on the Bull Rock Trail is always a great adventure, and Hilltop is a very popular ski area in close proximity. Just can't get enough of Granite Creek. Everybody loves Nancy Lake State Recreation     Area, and unsurprisingly Ship Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth taking a look at. There are some great whitewater spots on Ship Creek, and enjoy a round of golf at Anchorage Golf Course. Some activities here at Granite Creek are hiking, fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and playing golf, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Granite Creek is not the only location close by, O'Connell Lake is a close by lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Indian here. Katmai National Park & Preserve is a great local destination here at Granite Creek; if you come at the right time of year, Campbell Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. During the summertime months here at Granite Creek, high temperatures generally get into the 60's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures   through the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Granite Creek are in the 0's. So much fun stuff near Granite Creek, and when you're here you're always having a nice time. Port of Anchorage is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; there's whitewater on Willow Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. This is such a gorgeous campground. If time allows, Lake Clark National Park & Preserve is a national park worth visiting. Alaska is a nice outdoors state. Scores of folks choose this campground to be near Katmai National Park & Preserve. All the nice local attractions in close proximity and the nearby outdoors recreation will undeniably have you coming back time and again. Granite Creek is generally a rather waterless place; September is when you get the most rain here, and April is when it's the driest. The pleasant folks working here and the delightful facilities have folks coming from far and near.
