Golden Nugget Camper Park, Alaska   Absolutely perfect!!  We were blessed with good weather on our Alaska tour!  The folks at Golden Nugget were so helpful. If you're here at Golden Nugget Camper Park, you could visit North Branch South Fork Chester Creek, and a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a trip to close by Nancy Lake State Recreation Area. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Golden Nugget Camper Park are in the 0's. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Hilltop; if time allows, Lake Clark National Park & Preserve is a national park worth going to. The Bull Rock Trail is a splendid hiking trail next to Golden Nugget Camper Park; since you're here, you could also pop by pretty University Lake. Don't miss out on a tour to Katmai National Park & Preserve while you're here at Golden Nugget Camper Park, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ship Creek. This campground is always a pleasure. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to Golden Nugget Camper Park has to offer. If you're here at Golden Nugget Camper Park and you like golf, you can take a look at Anchorage Golf Course, and Campbell Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby.
