Glacier Campground, Chugach Mountains, Alaska   This sector of Alaska is always a bliss to visit during camping season. This camp ground is one of the brilliant spots to camp here in the Chugach Mountains. At Glacier Campground enjoyable stuff to do is plentiful, and to be at this campground is always fun. You've been indoors for too much time, you've gotta get out, and Glacier Campground, Alaska is a splendid place for getting out. That right there is heaps of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Chugach Mountains has it all. There are some good whitewater spots on Valdez Glacier Stream. There's     so much to do at Glacier Campground including whitewater paddling, and relaxing, so it's not possible to get bored. The personnel who's always there to help out and a nice variety of enjoyable stuff are reason enough to come here. The high level of precipitation makes Glacier Campground a reasonably wet place; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is June. A quick visit to Horsetail Creek near Glacier Campground is a wonderful idea; if you come at the right time of year, Mineral Creek offers some splendid whitewater. All through the long summer days here at Glacier Campground, high temperatures typically reach the 60's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 40's.
