Big Shaheen - Tongass National Forest, Alaska   Big Shaheen is a campground loved by the people of Ketchikan. The workforce that controls this campground and the nicely kept up facilities beat anything. Even though there's not that much to do close to Big Shaheen what a brilliant spot for camping it is. At Big Shaheen you can catch a sight of Ward Mountain, and while you're here, you could also have a look at beautiful Carlanna Lake. Big Shaheen sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through the month of October you get the most rain around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. If you     want to hit the beach, Black Sand Beach is in close proximity. Eager to pitch that tent; Big Shaheen in Alaska is a brilliant spot to go. You're sure to bump into some smiling folks from Ketchikan here; Carlanna Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. For the period of the summer at Big Shaheen temperatures are usually in the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's while Big Shaheen nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. This campground is so beautiful. Charcoal Point is rather right next door to Big Shaheen, and why not take a little tour to Carlanna Creek since you're here. Lots of people stay here to check out nearby Black Sand Beach.
