Tannehill Historical State Park, Alabama   Our motorhome had a breakdown & a sheriff showed me the campground, I was able to limp up there, spent the weekend, come Monday got MH hauled to rev repair. There are so many amusing things to do next to Tannehill Historical State Park, and it is a fine escape from the mundane. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you won’t be disenchanted; there's whitewater paddling, playing golf,     swimming, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. All the smiling people and a great variety of enjoyable things attract people from far and near. Talladega National Forest is a glorious place to go to on a pretty day; if you come at the right time of year, Six Mile Bend offers some brilliant whitewater. Summertime highs at Tannehill Historical State Park frequently tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Tannehill Historical State Park temperatures drop to the 30's. Finally, it's time for a camping trip once more, and Tannehill Historical State Park, Alabama is a fine site for getting out. This is such a wonderful campground. Tannehill Historical State Park is not the only spot close   by, Pine View Lake is a close by lake; this is a popular site for people from West Blocton. From Tannehill Historical State Park you obtain a great sight of Sand Mountain; do stop at Mill Creek while you're here at Tannehill Historical State Park. Tannehill Historical State Park is enormously popular with the folks from West Blocton. Yeah, come here to Tannehill Historical State Park for a great time. A spree to Oak Mountain State Park when you're here at Tannehill Historical State Park is never a bad idea, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Yellowleaf Creek - North Fork. Jones Valley is a great place to discover; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Tannehill National Golf Course is in the neighborhood. The high level of rain makes Tannehill Historical State Park a relatively wet location; March is the month that gets the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
