Boca Chica Beach THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BEACH, BUT IT IS VERY SAD BY THE DESTRUCTION OF THE WONDERFUL SAND DUNES BY THE 4 WHEELERS AND THE TRASH. I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS ALLOWED. TURTLES ALSO LAY EGGS IN THE SAND AND THE ATVS ARE HURTING THE EGGS.WHY DOES THE PARK COMMISSION ALLOW THIS....This would be a beautiful place if it did not look like a landfill.  There is lots of trash including broken glass that litters the beach.  Cars and alcohol are also allowed on the beach which makes a dangerous combination especially for those walking on the beach....Boca Chica Beach is a desolate section of beach 21 miles from the closest store. There are no facilaties on this beach so come prepaired.... Paul's RV Park 17 miles away We do not have tent sites.... Holiday Out RV Park 18 miles away Our RV park is only 20 miles from beautiful South Padre Island, 10 miles from Brownsville and Matamoros, Mexico, 30 miles from Progresso, Mexico, 10 miles to Harlingen.  We are near a large outlet mall.  There are some birds found only in this area for bird watchers.  We have two wildlife areas near, many golf courses and much more.  We have live-in managers always on duty....
