Brookchar - Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest 15 miles away Brookchar is indeed a tent only campground and you might have a short walk from the parking area to your campsite....Tents only!... Hidden Lake 18 miles away The Hidden lake area is closed to motorized vehicles.... River Reservoir 18 miles away Hoyer and Benny Creek campgrounds are close by.... Elderberry Spring Campground 18 miles away This was a dispersed camping area that the Forest Service closed some years back due to a lot of resource damage. The road has been made impassable and is a motorized restricted area.... Rosey Creek Campground 19 miles away This campground may not exist today.  Check with the Forest Service. The Forest Service discourages swimming in the lakes because of the cold temperatures and hazards like broken glass, cans and fishhooks.... Greer Lakes Campground 19 miles away There are two campgrounds in the Greer area, Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground and Benny Creek.  Lyman Lake is approx. 35 miles away so I would not call it nearby.  I also would not say Blackriver would be a good whitewater rafting river, as it is too small.
