The quiet, peaceful wooded setting boasts a large variety of wildflowers and birds plus we often enjoy a momma moose and her young that like to spend the summer with us. Enjoy walking, fishing for trout in Johnson Lake just across the road or fishing for salmon in the local Kasilof river and the famous Kenai river. Nearby Deep Creek is the launch site for Halibut fishing in the Cook Inlet or further south Homer boasts as the 'World Halibut Fishing Capital. Just minutes away are beaches that provide clamming for the famous Alaska's razor clams.
The Park has 18 sites each separated by a natural areas of wildflowers, berry bushes and trees each with a picnic table. Twelve sites are pull-through capable of holding big rigs, six are back-in, eight of the eighteen are full hookups and the other ten have water and electricity. A dump station is also available. The Park has spotless restrooms, free showers and a laundry with three new washers and dryers. ... |
