The General Store @ Eagle Mtn. now has Villa rentals to add to the enjoyment of paddling the Coosawattee, and can provide shuttle service to and from the river. Its a great place to spend the day, and now, you can even spend several days if you wish.  Check them out!!...Ran the kayak trip from the General Store this past Memorial Day weekend it was great. The Store was full of customers, but they tried to make everyone feel very special. Diamond Lure Campground
I have been going to this since I was a little boy...I'm 37 now. It is a wonderful campground. Lake Conasauga Campground
15 miles away
...auga for the last few years I am very upset about the way people are treating the facilities offered there. As this area grows in popularity, and more and more people use it, I am saddened by the way this beautiful lake and mountian is being abused and trashed. The catch phrase ''Leave only your footprints'' applies to all US National Forests for a reason. One can only assume that you use this camping area for it's beauty and freshness, so why then do so many people leave it in such a mess? To have to pick up over 50 bags of trash, often left scattered about after a non-holiday weekend, is unreasonable. I don't mean to rant or nag, but, it isn't that hard to put a grocery bag in you pocket when fishing along the lake trail and walk out with the trash you create. The hosts in most camp grounds are volunteers and are unpaid. They pay for all of their own expenses to be there in order to keep the grounds and restrooms clean and stocked. So, PLEASE, read and obey the rules posted. Few places are as beautiful as our National Parks, please lets all make that small effort to keep them that ...

Wolf Ridge Trail
19 miles away
I hiked via chestnut mnt  to bigfrog summit, narrow view in summer. I would like to summit in winter for better views?... Myself and two buddies hiked up Wolf Ridge Trail on 1/18/06 in wintery, full moon conditions. We started the hike around 9:30PM and got to the broad summit of Big Frog shortly after midnight in 2 inches of snow and the wind had to be 25mph or so. Hunter ...
