Camping Trips
 | I have had the displeasure of staying at a campsite called Coloma Resort on the South Fork of the American River. If you're not a church group or over 65 this place is not for you. We were harassed by the management constantly and were told to go to bed at 10:00pm on a Saturday night. Nothing in their rules said laughing and the Beatles were not allowed. This is the type of place that will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money. The campsite was extremely crowded even the 3rd week of August. My advice is to go else where, anywhere else but here!... |

I was just diagnosed with Lyme Disease from a hike around Phoenix Lake. It happened February 8, 2009. It's a beautiful hike but just take precautions!...Yeah... my buddy got lyme disease here when we were kids. Too many ticks everywhere....Phoenix lake is a great place to visit if you're in the area. It's beautiful. Very secluded....Any lyme disease ever reported from the ticks at phoenix lake?... |
