Rimrock Lake
 | Robin, you can have fires in camp at Rimrock as long as there are no fire bans in the Wenatchee National Forest, you can find out if there is a ban by going to the Naches Ranger Station online or along Highway 12 going through Naches up White Pass....When is the best time to troll for silvers in Rimrock Lake?...Would like to now if we are allowed to have camp fires at rimrock lake.... |
Sand Ridge Trail
 | 17 miles away The hike started out on the dry sandy rocky trail and with a slight grade up. After the 0.75 of a mile and 300 foot gain or so there was a fork; shortly after the you're ?entering the wilderness? sign, trail 1147, or Little Buck Trail is to the right. We haven't been on it, but it is suppose to be about a 0.9 of a mile and end up at the Indian Creek Trailhead and campground. After that fork Sand Ridge Trail, 1104, goes up for about 1 mile, and the foot gain for that mile is about 900 feet. According to the maps and the GPS we were using, the trail begins at about 3400 feet and goes to about 4600 feet. The last mile is like a standard up and down hike until the Shellrock Lake Trail junction, trail 1142 to the left, after that we don't know. Overall, for about the first 2 miles there is a 1200 foot gain in elevation, and then it evens out for a while. However, we had to turn around when we thought we were almost to the Shellrock Lake Trail junction due to a couple feet of snow pack and melt off.... |
White Pass
 | 19 miles away ...iled beauty. It has a wide variety of terrain for all abilities, a ski school with programs for everyone and places to relax and enjoy good times after the day is over. What really makes it special though, is the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. It's what makes White Pass a ski and snowboard paradise. The White Pass experience starts with a bountiful snowfall (350'' in an average season) and with the highest base elevation on the crest of the Washington Cascades. The resort strikes a perfect balance between pulse quickening steeps, wide open cruisers and gentle learning areas with 33 percent of the terrain geared toward experts, 43 percent toward intermediates and 24 percent toward beginners. Nothing gets you to the top faster than the Great White Express, Washington's only Doppelmayr high-speed detachable quad. Great White can take you from the base to the summit in five minutes. White Pass is recognized as one of the greatest mountains to ride in the Northwest. Natural quarter-pipes, kickers, drops, cornices and chutes challenge even the most experienced boar... |
Naches River
 | 23 miles away On July 19, 2009 we started at Boulder caves, floated for 2 1/2 hours and got out at Squaw Rock resort. The gauge was 50. 3 ft. There was just enough water, any lower and we would have been hitting rocks in the riffles. It was way fun!! The only thing to look out for is the ''Gaunlet''. About 3/4 of the way down. STAY LEFT. There is a large rock that splits the river, if you stay left it is a fun ride, otherwise you will end up plastered to the rock.
We were in inflatable kayaks. Have fun!! ... |

Snoqualmie
 | 47 miles away 3 PHOTOS From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast! For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do! So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit. Just around the corner... ...A MILLION MILES AWAY!... |

Stephens Pass
 | 58 miles away 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |
