Summertide Resort 2 PHOTOS Summer tide 1... Summer tide 2... Upper Elk Lake It's been about 6yrs. since I was last at upper Elk Lake,It was my most favorite place to camp. If you were lucky, and got the only camp site on the lake,the lake was yours. The water was so crystal clear, you could almost see the bottom. The fishing was't bad either. There are plenty of trails and creeks to explore.Including Jefferson creek, which will lead you to lower Elk Lake. My children loved this spot as much as I. There was also a rope swing on the other side of the lake.It was heaven. My youngest daughter traveled back to the lake this summer (2008). She says the lake is destroyed, with water plants and logs,she says the water is no longer clear. This makes me sad, I may just have to plan a trip to see for myself.... Lake Trask Timber Trails Assn 11 miles away This is a private campground that requires the purchase of a membership, which is a four-figure buy-in and, for 2007, annual dues of $430.... Mildred Lakes 13 miles away Wonderful lakes well worth the tough climb. All three lakes have excellent trout fishing.... Mason Lake 13 miles away This is mainly a private lake for people who have houses on it. There is a boat launch which is very small and to the point. :) There is also a park for employees of a certain company which I forget the name of now. This lake is very clean and refreshing. It is great for boats and inter tubing and swimming all the same :)  Love this Lake!!...THERE IS A PUBLIC AREA AT THIS PARK,BOATING SWIM AND PICNIC AREA... Dosewallips Campground 17 miles away The doeswallip river road is washed out approx. 3 mi from the campground. You must park and walk to the campground/trailhead. These washouts occurred during 2001, and continued to get worse.... Satsop River - East Fork 22 miles away 1 PHOTO Ya, I own a piece of  land that you floated past right after you get out of Schafer park --- has been in my family for near 4 generations now.... I floated down from the bridge at Kelley road on an intertube, it was very relaxing and there were very few rapids, this of course is during the Summer and I wouldnt recomend going in the Winter, the river gets about 7 feet higher in the Winter...
