Blue Lake 16 miles away We camped at blue lake july 23&24 2009.The trail is in good shape,short and easy.The lake is crystal clear and the scenery is spectacular with tall granite cliffs and multiple small 200+ ft waterfalls.Would be a great day hike for children.Bring bug spray,the mosquitos are voracious... I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out...
