Nehalem River 27 miles away Nehalem is great for tubing,summer. Dont keep valuables in cars while on the river Kkayaked last two years in mid june and itwas fun, nice camping. The road becomes gravel part way. Watch for log trucks! Wear a helmet. Lots of flooding this winter with new washouts and logs....The river gets very low in the late summer months (July August and September), and is wild and high in the winter.
