Wills Creek
17 miles away 1 PHOTO Drive a another mile until you cross the rail tracks and make a quick left down a dirt rd that follows the rail track. Follow 200yrd until you reach the train observation deck and park here. Cross the tracks and look at the wounderful 3 shelf drop. If you would like to run it, head right down throught trail above fall. Start river right and work to left as you exit last shelf. watch the nice keeper and the bottem left at very high water.... Water between fairhope and hyndman is full of bolders and water depths drop a lot in summer months. i advice that rafting should be done in the spring....
Cedar Creek
29 miles away My wife & I canoed this in March of 1986. What I remember, we would go into these curves & it was the most beautiful green pools of clear water. You could see to the bottom. There was a low-water bridge that we had to carry the canoe over. We floated on downstream & just before dark we pulled over to camp. Where we camped was a couple of miles above the waterfall on river left. We had a little party & had taken a little 5 TV & watched David Letterman. The next morning we canoed past the waterfall, past a suspension bridge, paddled several easy class II rapids, & I think we took out at the bridge that was about 3 miles above the Shenandoah River. There was a beautiful old white farmhouse on river right. In summary, Cedar Creek in the upper part has decent current, beautiful pools, flowing through rolling farmland & transitions to microgorges. We have moved to another state & miss doing this trip. ...

Tussey Mountain
89 miles away Okay, I'm on Tussey's Junior Race Team and we spend every waking moment at Tussey, and love it. It takes exactly 7 minutes and 43 seconds to get up the lift and 4 minutes and 22 seconds to get up the t-bar (which they fixed with duct tape) Never get chair 32, the bars don't go down, and chairs 75 and 1 are lucky. If you ask nicely in the lodge, they'll warm up your cinnamon bun for you and always try the vending machine without money first, it sometimes works. Also, never use the front door to the lodge, you are guarenteed to fall oh, and the mountain can be skied in full tuck in 15.4 seconds. ...
