Miners Peak Trail
The trail has not been maintained. I was able to hike it easily to the top 2 or 3 years ago. Not today...It was overgrown a lot and substantial deadfall. There are some burned spots also. That said, it's beautiful and a rigorous hike. Wear pants as the twigs will scratch you, and take insect repellant. Check your body for ticks also. The lookout is cool....
Blackmare Lake
The trail to Blackmare Lake is in very poor shape. The fire last year weakened the trees and the wind took down many of them. There are several 24-36' logs across the trail preventing horse travel. Hikers can make the trek, but expect to be climbing over a lot of down timber. The trails themselves are not terrible, but they are very loose with decomposed granite sand. The other big problem with the trail is that past the signs at the first bridge, there is absolutely no direction as to where the trails will take you or how far you are along the trails. ...
Kennally Creek Trail
I love the Kennally Creek area and have camped at the Kennally Creek Campground for over thirty years. I have never done much hiking but have found I really enjoy it. I am having a family reunion next summer and some of the members are hikers, fisherman, horse back riders--just ourtdoors people in general. I saw on the map at the campground that there are several lakes up the trail and was wondering what lakes are accessible from trails--in particular, Nick Lake, as well as others. Any information you could provide would be wonderful! ...

Brundage Mountain
32 miles away 7 PHOTOS ...t it is 'Uncrowded, Unspoiled, and Unbelievable'. Frequent visitors know it's easier to find a fresh line than a lift line at Brundage on a weekday. With an average of 325 inches of annual snowfall, the powder days are plentiful. Clear skies reveal sweeping views of Payette Lake & McCall off one crest, and endless mountain scenery reaching all the way to Oregon's Blue Mountains off the opposite side. The only challenge is deciding how long to savor the natural beauty before plunging back in for more terrific turns. Fortunately, with 1,800 vertical feet and more than 1,500 acres of in-bound terrain, there's plenty of time to enjoy both the snow and the spectacular scenery. Weekends and holidays are lively at Brundage Mountain. Visitors frequently enjoy live entertainment in ''Smoky's Pub'', our adults-only space which features weekly apres-ski entertainment and a big screen TV. Families will enjoy the convenient location of the drive up Kids Center, which offers a wide selection of lesson options for all age groups and skill levels, in addition to licensed day care programs for ...
