Even on high-resolution aerial photography, you can find no evidence that there was ever a trail here, except in the lowest portion, which is on private land, completely and irretrievably closed to entry. The chaparral in this vicinity is old, hard, and impenetrable to anything larger than a rabbit. Hi, please take a look at the attached photo. I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now). Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
