Devil's River Campers Park
We seasonal camped there everyday last summer and found it to be an excellent family destination!  great management, great people, virtually no problems whatso-ever with loud partiers.  awesome waterfalls and a running river the kids can wade in, nice clean pool and free hot showers!...

Baird Creek
I am the past president of the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation and I am also an experienced paddler. I comfortably do Class 4 water and I have done some Class 5. I am not sure if I would recommend that section of Baird Creek for anyone. There is only enough water during extreme flood situations. Most years there is no single flood event that would bring Baird Creek up to paddleable levels. There are a tremendous number of logs and entire trees across the creek. During flood situations the potential to get pinned against or under deadfalls would be very high....

Engledinger Lake
10 miles away
tried our luck at fishing there. I would describe it as POOR at best. We only caught one little blue gill and it was a nightmare trying to launch our small boat!!!!...

Once you're at the bottom, one of our specially designed lifts will take you back to the top for run after run after run. ...

Alpine Valley
90 miles away
Alpine Valley is a very good ski resort for being in Wisconsin, it's a bit more on the easy side of the spectrum so if you're an advanced skier you might get bored. But I love it, it's a great place for a relaxing day of skiing. I come here a lot with my family and we all like it....

Nordic Mountain

...ils ranging from very beginner to expert will amuse the first timer to the accomplished pro.
With a wide assortment of gentle terrain, Nordic Mountain has taught tens of thousands of people to ski or snowboard in over 30 years of existence. Nordic Mountain offers a variety of lessons and lesson packages to help first timers, and to assist those looking to make it to the next level.
Three terrain parks, with a beginner, intermediate, and expert park offer freestyle skiers and snowboarders everything they would expect in a top notch park. Nordic Mountain's goal is not only to have some of the best freestyle terrain in Wisconsin, but in all of the Midwest. Two glade runs offer expert skiers and boarders challenging tree skiing on some of the steepest terrain on the hill.
Realizing not everyone is willing to try skiing or snowboarding, Nordic Mountain installed the StoneRidge Tubing Park in 2006. The tubing park is over 1500ft long with over 90ft of vertical drop. If has five chutes and numerous ''rollers'' that add lots of thrills for the riders approaching speeds of up to 4...

Grand Geneva
94 miles away
I think Grand Geneva is where I went skiing last year when I was up there visiting some old friends, but it may have been some other similar place. It was my first time skiing, it was great. I fell a lot but you know, you just get up again, that's just the way it goes. Looking forward to going again some time....

Wilmot mountain

Ski Brule was voted Visitor's Choice Favorite Resort 2008 in the Midwest by visitors to OnTheSnow.com! At Ski Brule, it's all about the snow. Whoohoo! My local ski hill on the internet, WOW! What can I say, Brule's got straight runs and wiggly runs, hard ones and easy ones, but they're all lots of fun. I've been here more times than I can remember and I keep coming back for more and more, year after year....
