This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....

The addition of a 10 million gallon snowmaking pond will not only supply more cold water for snowmaking, but in the summer of 2009 is scheduled to be made into the second wakeboard winch park in the country.
