Engledinger Lake
tried our luck at fishing there. I would describe it as POOR at best. We only caught one little blue gill and it was a nightmare trying to launch our small boat!!!!...

Baird Creek
15 miles away
I am the past president of the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation and I am also an experienced paddler. I comfortably do Class 4 water and I have done some Class 5. I am not sure if I would recommend that section of Baird Creek for anyone. There is only enough water during extreme flood situations. Most years there is no single flood event that would bring Baird Creek up to paddleable levels. There are a tremendous number of logs and entire trees across the creek. During flood situations the potential to get pinned against or under deadfalls would be very high....

Sunburst

I am interested in buying a season pass. Who do I contact to get one?...
Sunburst hosts a variety of trails including beginner, advanced, and expert levels. Night Skiing - We offer night skiing 7 nights a week on all runs. Snowboarding - Sunburst has a snowboard park and snowboarding is allowed on all trails as well. Our 3 snowboard terrain parks are loaded with lots of rails, hits and jumps. Vertical Drop - 225 feet. Longest Run - 1320 ft. Lifts - 3 double chairs, 4 tow ropes, 1 carpet lift. Skiable Acres - 35 acres. Snowmaking - 1,500 gallons per minute, 100% coverage. Have you ever wanted to slide down a hill on an inner-tube? Well here's your chance! Thanks to the magic of snowmaking and snow grooming, you'll be laughing all the way to the bottom as your tube whisks you down one of our 900 foot long chutes each with a 10 story drop, reaching speed in excess of 40 miles per hour! Check out what's new in Tubing a 540' long Magic Carpet Lift, Tubing will be easier and more fun than ever. No experience necessary. Once you're at the bottom, one of our specially designed lifts will take you back to the top for run after run after run. ...

Alpine Valley
89 miles away
Alpine Valley is a very good ski resort for being in Wisconsin, it's a bit more on the easy side of the spectrum so if you're an advanced skier you might get bored. But I love it, it's a great place for a relaxing day of skiing. I come here a lot with my family and we all like it....

Wilmot mountain
93 miles away
I love wilmot, i go there almost every day in hte winter. Last season, i even went on christmas day. It was great....

Grand Geneva
93 miles away
I think Grand Geneva is where I went skiing last year when I was up there visiting some old friends, but it may have been some other similar place. It was my first time skiing, it was great. I fell a lot but you know, you just get up again, that's just the way it goes. Looking forward to going again some time....

Nordic Mountain

... intermediate, and expert park offer freestyle skiers and snowboarders everything they would expect in a top notch park. Nordic Mountain's goal is not only to have some of the best freestyle terrain in Wisconsin, but in all of the Midwest. Two glade runs offer expert skiers and boarders challenging tree skiing on some of the steepest terrain on the hill.
Realizing not everyone is willing to try skiing or snowboarding, Nordic Mountain installed the StoneRidge Tubing Park in 2006. The tubing park is over 1500ft long with over 90ft of vertical drop. If has five chutes and numerous ''rollers'' that add lots of thrills for the riders approaching speeds of up to 40mph. The best part is tubers don't have to walk back to the top of the hill. There is a specially designed lift that tows riders back to the top of the hill while sitting in their tubes. With the addition of the park, Nordic Mountain has opened up winter recreation to everyone.
In addition to the tubing park, Nordic Mountain continues to undergo many changes and improvements-one of the biggest in snowmaking.
