Coweeman River
12 miles away If you choose to run the canyon be advised about half way through in low water conditions there is a slot falls there narrow and fast once you get to the other side its all private property till you get to the Kelso dike . the only good take out for large boats is at the mouth of the river and on the other side of the cowlitz about 100 yards up stream. the cowlitz runs fast most of the time . there is also a large tree across the river about a mile below the gravel pit. It would be a sweeper in high water. I also find the milage on this chart to be wacko some close some not even in the target. its a nice float but that canyon is dangerous ....
Lewis River - East Fork
12 miles away *WARNING* Lewisville Pk to DayBreak on July 2, 2009. Water very low and very rocky using tubes and raft. Had to get out often and dislodge from rocks or walk over river rock. Had to walk from 1/4 sign to Daybreak all the way out and was VERY UNHAPPY. Walk was actually about a mile to parking area over river rock and then very narrow trail. Trails not marked if you have to get out and walk because water was TOO low (only a few inches deep). Would have appreciated uptodate info at booth at Lewisville entrance. Was told rafting was fine to Daybreak. Trip took 5.5 hours and was told it would take 2.5....

White Pass
98 miles away ...aces to relax and enjoy good times after the day is over. What really makes it special though, is the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. It's what makes White Pass a ski and snowboard paradise. The White Pass experience starts with a bountiful snowfall (350'' in an average season) and with the highest base elevation on the crest of the Washington Cascades. The resort strikes a perfect balance between pulse quickening steeps, wide open cruisers and gentle learning areas with 33 percent of the terrain geared toward experts, 43 percent toward intermediates and 24 percent toward beginners. Nothing gets you to the top faster than the Great White Express, Washington's only Doppelmayr high-speed detachable quad. Great White can take you from the base to the summit in five minutes. White Pass is recognized as one of the greatest mountains to ride in the Northwest. Natural quarter-pipes, kickers, drops, cornices and chutes challenge even the most experienced boarder. It offers a half-pipe. It's got one of the most scenic and well-maintained cross-country areas in the Nort...
