Coweeman River 21 miles away If you choose to run the canyon be advised about half way through in low water conditions there is a slot falls there narrow and fast once you get to the other side its all private property till you get to the Kelso dike . the only good take out for large boats is at the mouth of the river and on the other side of the cowlitz about 100 yards up stream. the cowlitz runs fast most of the time . there is also a large tree across the river about a mile below the gravel pit. It would be a sweeper in high water. I also find the milage on this chart to be wacko some close some not even in the target. its a nice float but that canyon is dangerous ....
