Ski Liberty
I loved Ski Liberty when I stayed there a few years ago for a weekend. It was the most fun I've ever had at a ski area. There was a great snow storm while we were there and the conditions were awesome. I'm coming back this year with my children and look forward to sharing your mountain with them....
Conewago Campground
10 miles away Hi I'm Lauren and I have a slight concern I have been to a campground that is called Conewago Campground but I'm not quite sure if this is the one that ive gone to I know that the one I went to had lots of rabbits running around and a creek it was rather small....
Crow's Nest Campground
12 miles away IMPORTANT NOTICE: We have received an unconfirmed report that this campground permanently houses two convicted sex offenders. We have been unable to reach the campground to clarify this....This campground, I have stayed at numerous times.? So far I have not had any issues.? Its very quiet in the evening and the owner is very friendly.? However, when pulling into the camp ground there is what seems to be an active trailer park on the right hand side.? The best Sites are located along the stream ending near the upper pools....

Long Pine Run Reservoir
15 miles away Long Pine Run Reservoir is a great place for kayaking. Its 150 acres can be circumnavigated in about an hour and a half, without straining. The boat launch area has parking for about 20 cars. The day we were there, only about three or four boats shared the water, making it almost like having your own private lake....
Hunting Creek Lake
15 miles away I have passed the Lake many times on my way to Gettysburg. I plan on visiting this weekend for the first time....Drove into this area while on my honeymoon 12 years ago. BEAUTIFUL!I have been visiting yearly since then. More crowded now, I guess beautiful areas don't stay unseen for long.A group of us will be there early tomorrow morning. ...
Beaver Creek
29 miles away 1 PHOTO Some additional information that you might be interested in about Beaver Creek is that it is a true limestone spring fed creek. That means that it has warm water in the Winter and cool water in the Summer. The upwelling of water through the limestone bedrock creates a unique ecosystem in Maryland with freshwater shrimp, watercress, and lots of well fed trout. In Winter, this stream can be 10 degrees warmer than any other water and this really attracts wildlife, especially ducks. This is a wonderful little creek to paddle in a 9-10 foot kayak. I guide trout fishing on this stream and it is one of my favorite creeks in Maryland. It holds some trout over 6 lbs. throughout the year. I do not reccommend kayaking this creek in April because there are lots of people fishing for trout. If you would like more free information or to book a scenic paddle or trout fishing day, feel free to contact me at 301-432-8469 or visit my website at http://www.fishnfloatadventures.com...
Greenbelt Park
49 miles away Regular camping fees at this time (06/08) are $16/night. I have been camping at Greenbelt Park every summer for a week for the last 7 years. It was always at $14 up till last year when it went up to $16. Great Park though! Love it!...
Tussey Mountain
62 miles away Okay, I'm on Tussey's Junior Race Team and we spend every waking moment at Tussey, and love it. It takes exactly 7 minutes and 43 seconds to get up the lift and 4 minutes and 22 seconds to get up the t-bar (which they fixed with duct tape) Never get chair 32, the bars don't go down, and chairs 75 and 1 are lucky. If you ask nicely in the lodge, they'll warm up your cinnamon bun for you and always try the vending machine without money first, it sometimes works. Also, never use the front door to the lodge, you are guarenteed to fall oh, and the mountain can be skied in full tuck in 15.4 seconds. ...
