Sparks Lake
1 PHOTO
Sparks lake is a picture perfect high montain lake located west of Bend, Oregon. It's near Mt Bachelor on the Cascade Lakes Hiway. Broken Top and South Sister loom high above as the Lava flow created a unique shoreline accessed best by Kayak or Canoe....

Moraine Lake Trail
A (shorter) way to get to in and out of Moraine lake is via the South Sister trailhead....

Winopee Lake
Went to Winopee lake this weekend...it was a little dissapointing because the lake is about 45% covered with reeds and lilly pads. The Eastern shore is the only one you can accesst the water without having to wade through reeds. There is quite a few algae blooms so swimming isn't an option. Overall, the view was nice but not spectacular. There are three decent campsites at the lake, popular with horse camps. The best of the three sites is the one on the Eastern bank, take the first trail you come accross before reaching the junction for sno-shoe lake. The second and third campsites are on the West bank and are a little harder to find...head for the clifs and you are there....

Mt. Bachelor
...ommies (rippers under 13) with events and competitions almost every weekend. The resort hosts rail jams, superpipe competitions, boarder-cross and slalom races, slopestyle, freestyle and park competitions. Events include the Sun Cup (Feb 24-March 2), Special Olympic Winter Games (February 27-28), the Alpine Masters Championship (April 2-5), Riders for the Cure (April 4) and the closing of the season with the Pole Peddle Paddle (May 16) and North American Pond Skimming Championships (May 17).
Among the 6 full-service day lodges, you?ll find food, bars, daycare and the largest ski shop in Oregon. Mt Bachelor offers terrific ski school day and multi-week programs for the whole family including privates, minimum 5 student class sizes and free first-time lessons with the purchase of a full-price day ticket.
Got lunch? Hot breakfast, fresh salads, pizzas, sandwiches, pastas and grilled items are prepared fresh daily. Also enjoy local favorites including bend-crafted brews and spirits. Whether you seek and cafeteria-style lunch for the whole family, table service or an adult-only co...

Little Cultus Lake

North Twin Lake

Twin lakes are great. Beautifully serene and one of the best beaches in central Oregon as north twin....

Davis Lake
16 miles away
This website needs updating. I was there on Aug. 2nd,3rd, and 4th 2007. There are a LOT of bass there. We saw NO trout at all, and no one we talked to had caught or seen one. I was there with 2 others for bass fishing. there is no camping at the west boat launch area. Day use only. There are 2 camp sites on the east side. The Lava Flow site is closed, and has been for some time. There is a primative site there. No water or elec. and very primative boat launching area. You have to pole or row through the tules to get out on the lake. The old campground is closed because of Eagles nest there. Eagles are no longer on the endangerd spieces list. Why not re-open that area. it has a great boat ramp. Bass fishing was great, but not many large fish when we were there. Lots of smaller bass. We were told it was real good in late June and first half of July. We will try again next year....
