Rufus RV Park is located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge along I-84.  We are midway between Pendleton & Portland and near the John Day Dam and Deschutes River.  Great fishing and boat ramps are nearby.  We have 57 spaces with full hook-ups (except cable TV), 30 & 50 amp service, pull-thrus, laundromat, showers and a cabin rental.  Our park is away from the railroad tracks so the atmosphere is quiet with lots of shade trees.  Take Exit 109 off I-84 and follow the signs to 311 Wallace St.  Call us at 541-739-2272 if you have questions.

White Pass

... an average season) and with the highest base elevation on the crest of the Washington Cascades.
The resort strikes a perfect balance between pulse quickening steeps, wide open cruisers and gentle learning areas with 33 percent of the terrain geared toward experts, 43 percent toward intermediates and 24 percent toward beginners.
Nothing gets you to the top faster than the Great White Express, Washington's only Doppelmayr high-speed detachable quad. Great White can take you from the base to the summit in five minutes.
White Pass is recognized as one of the greatest mountains to ride in the Northwest. Natural quarter-pipes, kickers, drops, cornices and chutes challenge even the most experienced boarder. It offers a half-pipe.
It's got one of the most scenic and well-maintained cross-country areas in the Northwest. The 18 km of double track, which allows both classic and skating, circles a picturesque lake and then climbs into the Wenatchee National Forest.
The White Pass Learning Center has developed a wide variety of programs for all ages and abilities. Highly-trained i...

Mission Ridge
87 miles away
What makes Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort different from other ski areas in Washington?
It could be our combination of 300 days of sunshine annually, dry snow and wide open spaces. Located just 12 miles south of Wenatchee, Mission Ridge has more than 36 designated runs spread over 2,000 acres of trails, chutes, groomers, and bowls with a thrilling 2,250 vertical drop. It could be our snowmaking system that covers 66 acres top to bottom fueled by an 18 million gallon reservoir guaranteeing an early opening every year. It could be the high speed quad ride that takes you to the summit where you see panoramic views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Stuart, Mt. Adams, The Enchantments and the majestic Columbia River winding through the valley below.
Come for an exceptional winter mountain experience that could last you a lifetime. ...

From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast!
For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do!
So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit.

Mt. Bachelor

...Mt Bachelor saw a 17% increase in pass sales.
Mt Bachelor continues to offer terrain for all levels and likes, from wide groomers, to natural glades, manicured parks, wide open spaces and peak cornices. Also offered are sled dog rides, lift-accessible tubing and snowshoe tours lead by USFS rangers. The resort?s annual snowfall averages 370 inches of low-density powder due to its high desert location and altitude. At just over 9,000 feet, you can see to Mt Shasta in California up to Mt Adams in Washington State.
Mt Bachelor is defined by its setting ? a pristine mountain experience that is as pure as the day the volcano erupted 15,000 years ago. Riders now enjoy 360-degree access to terrain off the Summit and Northwest chairlifts, a five year back catchline program that was just completed August 2008. Now you can pick a backside fall line that no other soul will take that day. An additional 980 acres off the Summit opens up expert rolling bowls and an additional 358 acres of wild tree riding is accessible west of the Northwest shoulder. All backside terrain is for the advanced r...
