Smith Lake 14 miles away Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking.  Also nice beach area for the summer.... If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so.... Guys Pond 19 miles away Guy's Pond is a great place to fish.  As of my latest fishing trip on 1/25/2009, it was $3 per person and $4 per night camping.  Also, 14 years of age and younger were free!  This is a great pond.  While you are fishing, you can watch the cows, and/or the horses.  The pond is much better than Pope's Lake.  They kicked us out of that lake on the same day as my trip to Guy's Pond.  I rate this pond as a 10 and suggest anyone in the area looking for a fishing hole should try Guy's Pond....
