There were times though that we had to pack up nd leave when my parents opened the picnic basket, due to the miserable Yellow Jackets swarmed around us when we started to eat. What a big disappointment THAT was.! So sorry I have NO pictures! How we seven kids enjoyed those outings.I have NEVER forgotten those trips.... |

I remember swimming for hours (in the ice tea water--HA), boats you would ride until your feet and legs couldn't do it anymore) and the store with the screen (sqeeky) door. Life was great. I went to Kandle Lake for the first time this past weekend with my daughters (3 and 5), as guests of another family. We all had a blast. The location was very clean, the lake was full of fun activities, had a sectioned off part for the little kids, two different height diving boards, rope swing, water slide, fountains, etc. We also went in the pool (including the separate kiddie pool). After one visit, I'm planning on buying a membership for next summer, and possibly considering buying a trailer. And this was my first time at a campground!... |
