Welch Village Resort announced in April 2008 that contracts had been negotiated with the key equipment suppliers to enable opening of their back bowl slopes for the 2008-09 winter season. A new four passenger chairlift designed by Doppelmayr CTEC, the leading manufacturer of ski lifts in the world, is under construction for the west side of the Back Bowl. Tenting
We offer a tenting field which is near the water. Each spot has a fire pit and picnic table and they are within walking distance of the clean campground bathrooms.
The Marina
New in 2005 with drinking water, sewage pump out, and 50 amp electric at each slip. Directly in the main channel with 4 ft. Fingers on both sides of the boat. There are 22 slips at 50', 26 slips at 30', and 6 slips at 20' along the side. Also, a common area has been built out on the docks. Spacious parking at the catwalk entrance. A great boater's start line at mile marker 790. 6 in the 45 mile long pool between lock & dam #3, and lock & dam #4 at Alma. There's always a perfect lift for everyone in the family....Afton Alps has so many runs, you'll never get bored. Great skiing for the whole family, mainly easy runs but there are a few hard ones too.
