Sherwood Camping Resort As of 9/20/2009 we are fixing up and inproving. We have a new laundry mat. Within the next year or two we are going to try to have a pool in. So come on in and have nice quiet stay....Sherwood Camping Resort is located in a beautifully wooded area on IL Rt 37 North of Ina IL or 7 miles south of Mt. Vernon. The 24 acre park provides a clean secure and great natural environment for relaxing. We have a newly renovated shower house and fishing area. With the stunning nature and varied wildlife you can't help but enjoy your visit to Sherwood Camping Resort.... Squirrel's Nest Just took a drive thru the Squirrels Nest Campground. The place is beautiful and very well kept up. I talked with the manager who was very nice and had my name put on the waiting list, so hopefully I will get a site there in the near future....The squirrel's nest has improved so much since a new manager has taken over, this is now one of the nicest campgrounds in southern illinois but its very hard to get a site here cause its full and no one wants to leave...
