John Muir Trail - section 2
 | 16 miles away The Rocky Branch Trail is currently 1.7 miles (One Way) from the Day Use Trailhead to the Old Lock 14 Site and Overlook. However we are expanding this trail to be a 4-5 mile loop trail that takes you along the banks of the Black Warrior River and Rocky Branch. A new trailhead, along with kiosk and trail signs, have been created right outside the day use park for year round accessibility. This trail will also have 2 group primitive campsites for overnight use. This trail ranges from moderate to difficult and will provide fantastic views of the river. All of this is set to be completed by May 2009. Please see link below for more information including maps and photos.
