Dry Lake is NOT a good place to camp, or fish. Forest Service has failed to keep water weeds and water lilies out which is destroying the fishery. Summer days are HOT, winters cold, lots of bugs in summer. At the present rate of invasive water weeds, this lake will be a marsh bog in a few years.... |

If you can ski Mt. Ashland, you can ski anywhere, is a boast locals in southern Oregon have made for 45 years. It is true; Mt. Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts.
