From the vantage point of the riverbank trails, the park offers a magnificent view of the Alyeska Pipeline suspension bridge where it crosses the Tanana River.
You will enter Big Delta State Historical Park from a different point than the 1920's motorists, who drove the original Valdez-to-Fairbanks trail. Turning off the Richardson Highway at Milepost 275, you will see a gravel access road and parking area to your left. As you begin your adventure at the park, take a moment to pick up a walking tour brochure.
The Packhouse Pavilion Restaurant serves travelers delicous homemade meals from our breakfast and lunch menus. There is a bakery on site that sells whole pies, loaves of bread, and many other delicious items for those who have their own cooking facilities in an RV or a camper.
