In fact, one of the most severe in history. I'm sorry you had that experience. Most locals can tell visitors about the condition of the creek, as any of us could have cautioned you about the weather conditions causing lack of creek water. Sincerely, Brenda F...I done this stretch yesterday (9/15/07) We started at 12:30 and got stranded at dark because the water level was too low. We did hit several class III to IV's but then the creek dried up about 2 miles before Guntersville. It sucked. If you go, leave in the morning and make sure the water level is up.... We also have activities planned for the major holidays. At Parnell Creek RV Park we have 34 level gravel sites. There are 14 sites with 30 amp Full Hook Up and 8 sites with 50 amp Full Hook Up. We also have 10 sites with 30 amp Water/Electric and 2 site with 50 amp Water/Electric. We also have 2 full service cabins and 3 Rustic Cabins, plus tenting areas. We are centrally located near Scottsboro, Grant, Huntsville and Guntersville. There are many lakes to fish in nearby and the fish are plentiful. We are also close to Cathedral Caverns, Unclaimed Baggage, NASA Space Center, Robert Trent Jones Golf Courses, Old McDonalds Petting Zoo and many other attractions. Our amenities include FREE Wifi, Salt Water In-Ground Swimming Pool, 18 Hole Mini Golf, Clubhouse, playground, horseshoes, basketball, fitness and tanning center, activity center, covered outdoor shelter, bath houses, on-site laundry, movie rental, camp store, planned activities, and more. A small family owned park which had WiFi was a great find. It was convenient to fishing and other activities. We are making reservations there for this April 2007.
